Vice Chair for Finance and Administration

The Vice Chair for Finance and Administration serves as a senior leadership member of the Executive Committee of the Department’s Academic Council. The Executive Leadership Committee includes the Chair, Deputy Chair and Director of the Mental Health Integrated Center of Clinical Excellence (MH-ICCE), Vice Chair for Education-Training Programs, Vice Chair and Director of the Executive Committee for Research, Medical Director of the MH-ICCE and Director of Executive Committee for Clinical Operations, and Vice Chair for Veterans Administration Mental Health Programs. The position serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the department and is responsible for the administrative and financial issues related to the department’s tripartite clinical, education-training, and research missions. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is a large, multidisciplinary, internationally-recognized academic center of excellence composed of 11 Divisions, 8 Programs, and 10 training programs. The department is consistently ranked in the Top 5-10 NIH-funded psychiatry departments in the United States. The Vice Chair for Finance and Administration leads the department’s space committee and, along with the Executive Leadership Committee, develops strategic and implementation plans for all of the department’s missions.
